Privacy policy
This policy covers the Hibiworks apps Longview and Habit Tracker, and this website. The short version: both apps work without an account and keep your data on your phone. If you choose to sign in, your data is synced to a server so it can reach your other devices. We do not sell data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
Who is responsible
Hibiworks, a small software studio in the Netherlands, is responsible for the data described here. For anything about your data, email hello@hibiworks.com.
Longview
Without an account
Everything you enter — accounts, balances, rules, properties, loans, recorded balances and settings — is stored only on your device. Nothing is sent to us.
With an account (optional)
If you sign in to sync, we store:
- your email address and a hashed password, to identify your account;
- the financial plan you enter: account names, balances, types and goals; rules (name, amount, frequency, category); properties and loans; recorded balance snapshots; and your settings.
We use this only to sign you in and keep your plan in sync between your devices. Longview does not connect to your bank and does not collect names, phone numbers, location, contacts or photos.
Habit Tracker
Without an account
Your habits, progress and reminder settings are stored only on your device. Coach insights are generated on your phone and nothing is sent to us. Reminders are scheduled locally by your phone.
With an account (optional)
If you sign in to sync, we store:
- your email address, and a hashed password if you choose to set one;
- your habits: name, icon, type, target, daily progress, reminder times and challenge progress;
- coach insights we generated for you, and a daily count of coach requests, used to limit usage.
The AI coach
When you are signed in, the coach sends a summary of your habits to Anthropic, an AI company, to write your insight. That summary contains each active habit's name, type and target, your current and best streak, your completion rates over the last 7 and 30 days, and which weekdays you complete it. It does not contain your email address or your day-by-day log. Habit names are whatever you typed, so avoid putting anything in a habit name that you would not want processed this way.
Services that handle data for us
We do not share your data with anyone except the services that run the apps. Each processes it only to provide that service to us, under its own data-protection terms.

These companies are based in the United States, so your data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, it is covered by the safeguards those providers offer under the GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Neither app contains advertising, analytics or tracking software.
Why we may process it
We process your account and synced data to provide the sync and coach features you asked for (performance of a contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). You can stop at any time by signing out and asking us to delete your account.
How long we keep it
- On your device: until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.
- Synced data: for as long as you have an account.
- Coach insights: kept with your account.
- After you ask us to delete your account: we delete the account and all synced data within 30 days and confirm by email.
Your rights and how to delete your data
You can ask us to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. To delete your account and everything synced with it, follow the steps on the support page, or email hello@hibiworks.com. Signing out stops any further syncing and coach requests from that device.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or the authority where you live.
Children
The apps are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
This website
hibiworks.com uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google when you open a page. The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect it.
Changes
If an app starts handling data differently, we update this page before that version is released and change the date at the top.
